The brainchild of trumpeter DeShannon Higa, Subtonic Orchestra is a jazz ensemble, clothed in and personified by contemporary funk, hip-hop and Latin colors. The group remains focused on being an improvisational band, but refined through orchestrated voicings and arrangements, which makes for a smooth and impactful listening experience.
